Mother and Daughter Equine Photoshoot

Before the photoshoot
I did not have to travel very far for this assignment, only a few mile away from my home.
The photoshoot was on a private yard located in Bredbury. While driving to the yard I also look around when I know I am getting close to the yard, it gives me the chance to see what type of environment they have around the yard. On this one I could see loads of potential !!
I could not wait to get started.
The assignment
Debbie wanted some portraits with her mare (Inca) and shared her session with her daughter Ellie and her mare (Lilly). We decided to alternate between them and explore around the yard. The area is beautiful for this kind of work, there is a bridleway very close, a cobbled street with an old street lamp, a wooded area and a lot more! We were lucky with the weather, giving us enough light without to much shadows.
To get started I spotted a nice brick wall at the yard. I find it’s always better to start where the horse is used to be, it gives me the time to see to suss a little bit the horse’s temperament before adventuring further.[/vc_column_text][vc_single_image image=”5229″ border_color=”grey” img_link_target=”_self” img_size=”large”][vc_column_text]After the images at the yard we walked towards the cobbled street I noticed when driving to the yard. Taking pictures of one horse is difficult enough but adding another person and another horse and it’s adding to the complexity of the photoshoot !
When I felt I had enough images from the street location, we moved to the bridleway to take some images with more trees around. We also tried at a spot near the river Goyt but unfortunately the horses were not very happy with that.[/vc_column_text][vc_gallery type=”image_grid” interval=”3″ images=”5233,5236,5237,5240,5238″ onclick=”link_image” custom_links_target=”_self”][vc_column_text]
