“The client(s)” shall be those persons defined in the booking form. In the following terms & conditions “the photographer” shall mean Joanne Thibodeau trading as Joanne Photography. It is mutually agreed that the following terms of agreement form an integral part of this contract and cannot be varied in any way by the client(s) unless such conditions are expressly agreed by the photographer in writing. By booking with the photographer you agree to the below Terms and Conditions.

Copyright
All copyright of photographic images belongs to the photographer.

Display
The client(s) hereby allow(s) the photographer to display any photographic images covered by this contract and to generally promote the business in advertising, brochures, magazine articles, calendars, websites, photo competitions, sample albums, commercial photography,..etc.

Use of your images on the web
When uploading your images on the web (Social Media) you will be required to only use the small resolution digital image with logo. You are not permitted to remove the logo or edit the images (changing colours, or removing part of the image). High resolution images (JPEG) without logo are for print only use. You cannot enter any of your images in competition (online or otherwise). Prints – When purchasing prints, you cannot scan the print into another print or a digital image. You can purchase the digital images separately.

Equine Session
If you choose, at your own discretion, to ride your horse without a riding hat, you do so entirely at your own risk. The photographer accepts no responsibility for injury or damage caused to horse, rider, property or any individual before, during or after the photo shoot.

Portrait session – General
It is your responsibility to tell the photographer if you feel that the location or situation put your pet or family member in danger. If your dog needs to stay on the lead or cannot do certain things (for medical or other reasons) you need to inform the photographer. If your animal is aggressive you also are required to mention it to the photographer to keep everybody safe. The photographer has the right to stop the session if they are concerned about the dog’s welfare, safety or behaviour during the session (no refunds provided). You should allow be in control of your pet(s) in all situations.

Studio Sessions
Your session will take place at our studio in Stockport, and will typically last an hour. DOG PORTRAIT SESSION: We ask you to book a time when your female dog is not in season, otherwise there will be a £30 cleaning fee.

Payment for portrait session and products
Pet portrait booking fee: Full payment is required at the time of booking, the appointment can be changed up to 10 working days before the portrait session. Booking fees are nontransferable and nonrefundable. No show: If for any reason after receiving your confirmation, you fail to attend your pet portrait appointment (or do not give enough notice), you will lose your full booking fees. You are entitled to a maximum of one appointment change (up to 10 working days before the session) after which you will lose your booking fees. Products: Products are payable during your ordering session (Card / Cash / Payment plan). Please note your products will be ordered once the payment has cleared. Once an order has been placed during your ordering session it cannot be cancelled, amended or refunded. Products will be ready to pick up at my studio within a reasonable timescale (up to 3-6 weeks from order date) once received from the supplier. The minimum order is our smallest product at £360. Payment plans cannot be cancelled.

Retainer fees / Registration Fees/Booking fees (for special projects/competitions): Retainer or registration fees are to be used as credit to purchase your products. It’s not refundable apart from the first two weeks from your original payment (when you can still change your mind). You need to attend both the Pet portrait session and the Design Consultation at our studio. To receive any competition prize such as a print of a frame, you need to attend both the pet portrait session and the Design Consultation(some prizes require a product purchase depending of the terms and conditions of the competition/special project). If you fail to come for your viewing & ordering appointment within eight weeks after your photography session, you will not receive any complementary products/gift. You can cancel your session up to 14 working days after you have made your payment for your registration fee/retainer fee, in this case we will refund the registration fee/retainer fee.

Special sessions and competitions: Complementary sessions are only offered to new clients only. Clients that are already on our books are not entitled to enter competitions or special projects (with a complementary session or product). Past clients (who have come to the studio in the past 18months +) are entitled to enter again in a competition or complementary session.

Postponement Due To Adverse Weather
If the appointment has to be cancelled by Joanne Photography due to adverse weather conditions a new, mutually agreed appointment will be made with no additional charge.

Photography session travelling distance
Our fees include travelling expenses up to 40 miles from the SK7 4EJ postcode. Locations further away are charged at 40 pence per mile after the first 40 miles. Joanne Photography may require accommodation where the photography location is at a distance of 90 miles or greater from the SK7 4EJ postcode.The cost of accommodation and expenses shall be covered by the client.

Digital Files
When the client purchase digital files the client is responsible to keep them safe and to make duplicates. Any request for additional digital image duplicates from the photographer will incur additional charges. Digital files are provided as JPEG only, edited in my style.

Design Consultation
All our sessions include a design consultation at our studio in Stockport. Products are purchased during the Design Consultation. You have to make sure all the decision makers are present. All sales and payment plans are final. The Design Consultation appointment can be changed (one time only) up to 3 days before the planned date. For clients that give less than a 3 day notice or reschedule more than one time, we only charge £35 if you cancel or rearrange outside of our 3 day cancellation policy. Those charges are always redeemable on product so don’t worry if you do have to rearrange last minute. The minimum order is our smallest product at only £360. The final decision over your products/images is made during the ordering session as well as payment. A payment plan can be agreed (20% deposit). During the ordering session you will view the best images from your session (images that do not meet my quality control will be discarded). The number of images provided for viewing will be at the photographer’s discretion. We will charge (£95) for a second Design Consultation if you cannot make a decision on the first appointment. We only keep the purchase images on our system, other images will be archived and then deleted to make space for more clients.

Cameras of any kind are not permitted at our shoot.
If Joanne Photography has to cancel the appointment for reasons beyond their control (death, injury, sickness, etc.), their liability shall be limited to a full refund of all monies paid.
In the event of any situation out of our control (corona virus, storm, fire, etc) we will postpone the sessions and reschedule once our doors reopen.
